SSS facilitates chain transparency: Sharing FSI compliancy via a sub-account

Example of a sub-account

Due to increasing regulations, the floriculture trade must be increasingly transparent about the origin and degree of sustainability of their products. SSS users monitor (in dashboard and/or via API) the volume share that is FSI compliant. In other words: the volume that is certified according to the FSI Basket of Standards. They can then take action on the share that is not FSI compliant yet.

These insights can be shared with customers who are also FSI members, via a sub-account.

Example SSS sub-account
  • The Floral Connection and OZ Planten have their purchasing of flowers and plants processed in the SSS.
  • Their Norwegian customer Mester Grønn is a FSI member and wants to know to what extent their purchased products are FSI compliant.
  • The Floral Connection and OZ Planten have Floridata create a sub-account for Mester Grønn in the SSS. (Data) governance and security are captured in a separate agreement.
  • Mester Grønn can consult the purchasing data and the associated sustainability scores, via the sub-account or in their own system via API. The scores can be broken down into the desired period, grower, product group and country of production. No prices are visible, only volumes in number of pots and/or stems. Mester Grønn cannot view data about trade that is destined for other clients.
Together towards 90% sustainable purchase and 100% transparency

With the help of the scores and associated insights, FSI members can focus on their common goal. Namely to achieve 90% sustainable purchase in 2025 and at least as important, to be ready for the new legislation that requires 100% transparency and traceability.

NB:

  • The SSS user always remains the owner of its data and keeps control over sharing data with other parties, through established (data) governance agreements.
  • FSI-compliancy results depend on the FSI Basket of Standards and codes and certificate registrations provided by Floricode.
